A cadre of young designers draw on the preference of young, urban professionals like them, are very social and active. They are more inclined to take friends to the club and outdoor equipment load on weekend excursions to transport than wood or towing a boat. With requirements in mind, they are described according to the dimensions of Granite. Its 103.6-inch (2631 mm) wheelbase is comparable to the Chevrolet Cobalt, but its 161.3-inch (4097 mm) Overall length is more than a foot shorter. Its size provides exceptional maneuverability Granite, even in the streets of the city's narrow. The relatively short body length Granite is equipped with a wide, wide 70.3-inch (1786 mm) and high overall, 60.5-inch (1,536 mm) high. Those dimensions make the unique proportions that depart dramatically from the conventional minivan, SUV or crossover design. "Design teams utilize the best attributes of different segments: SUVs, minivans and crossovers, and mixed with commercial chic aesthetic. We feel this change the premium class vehicles we call urban utility vehicle," said Lyon. Granite has a four-door, depending on each side to open like a set of French doors. There is no pillar between front and rear doors, making Granite easier to enter, exit and load, even with bulky items. "We provide Granite bold but attractive designs that really make a styling statement," said Juho Suh, exterior design manager. "For a new generation of urban professionals, this gives the appearance and functionality they need." In accordance with the theme of urban vehicles, the outside of Granite has a series of complex, intersecting planes and angles, creating the impression of industrial machines - objects created out of necessity, but admired for its precision and functional aesthetics. A forward-fishing motif that cut through the panel door, high initial and at the back door and cut into the middle of the front door, show motion, like a high beltline and tapered side mirror. A rear spoiler integrated into the roof and extends slightly above the rear glass. Another angle and aircraft exterior look carefully-crafted metal. In front, the signature design of the GMC grille is flanked by lights that sweep back into the fenders, further demonstrate the motion. Headlights and fog lamps are set at the far edge of the front-end bodywork, highlighting the attitude of Granite's planted. At the rear, aircraft and vehicle angle come together closely, which shows attention to detail. Other exterior elements include prominent taillamps with multi-layer display and LED lighting technology, and exhaust outlets are centered with brushed metal tip. No chrome on the outside of Granite, all trim has a satin or brushed metal finish, accenting the display industry.
